Job summary

Priority Recruitment Services Ltd in St Albans is seeking an experienced Support Worker for a weekend-focused role supporting a 10-year-old client with cerebral palsy and communication challenges.

The role includes personal care, manual handling and companionship during day trips and activities. Shifts are 3:00pm–9:00pm on weekdays (to be agreed) and 9:00am–3:00pm on weekends, with two shifts per fortnight and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work in a weekend-focused role with two shifts per fortnight.
• Experience working with children with complex conditions such as brain injuries, cerebral palsy, or epilepsy.

Responsibilities

• Support a 10-year-old client with cerebral palsy and communication challenges.
• Provide personal care and assist with manual handling during activities and day trips.
• Engage in activities the client enjoys (Harry Potter themes, water activities, skiing, rollercoasters, crafts).

Successful Applicant

• - Previous experience and confident working with children with complex conditions – brain injuries, cerebral palsy , epilepsy etc
• - Must have flexibility to work 2 shifts a fortnight
