Job summary

Serco Limited in Rushmoor is hiring a HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver to deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. You will work on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with start times around 6.30am and a route-based workload.

You’ll be a reliable public face in the community, carrying out vehicle safety checks, maintaining a clean vehicle, and supporting loaders to complete rounds efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver CPC (CPC).
• Physically fit and healthy due to the nature of the work.
• Dedicated, friendly and professional team player.
• Willing to go the extra mile on rounds to help the team hit targets.

Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round

In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.
