Job summary

Serco Limited in Ash Vale is hiring a permanent HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver to keep the local community clean and safe.

You’ll work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with a route carried out alongside loaders, performing vehicle safety checks and providing excellent customer service to residents and businesses.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 or 2 licence and CPC, be physically fit, and be a friendly, reliable team player.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Be physically fit and healthy; this is essential for the role.
• Be a dedicated, friendly and professional team player.
• Willing to go the extra mile on rounds to help the team hit targets.

Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver with loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks are completed and the truck is clean and work-ready before starting the round.
• Work with loaders to stay active and complete tasks quickly and efficiently.

Join our Rushmoor team as a HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in keeping your community clean, safe, and sustainable.

Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round
• In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.
