Job summary

Serco is hiring a HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver in Ash Vale (GU12 5QF). You’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses, working with loaders as part of a professional team to keep the community clean and safe.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3pm) with a salary of £35,369.91 per year plus excellent benefits, including a contributory pension, extensive training, health support, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Be physically fit and healthy.
• Be a dedicated, friendly and professional team player.
• Be willing to go the extra mile on rounds to help the team hit targets.

Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks are completed and the truck is clean and work-ready before starting rounds.

Join our Rushmoor team as a HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in keeping your community clean, safe, and sustainable. Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

You’ll Be Entrusted To

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round

In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.
