Job summary

Royal Mail Oswestry Workshop is actively seeking a Vehicle Technician. The ideal candidate is a Level 3 qualified mechanic with their own toolkit, capable of servicing a broad fleet including LCVs and HGVs in a modern workshop.

You will work a full-time shift pattern at Oswestry Workshop with overtime opportunities, weekend supplements, and a strong focus on quality workmanship. A valid UK driving licence is essential and pension/training benefits apply.

We’re recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic at Oswestry Workshop on aPermanentcontract, with the potential to earn up to £55k including overtime.

• 18:00 Friday 10:00
• 17:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday day off).

• You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
• You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
• You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

A bit about you

• Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
