South Ayrshire Council is seeking a School Assistant (Term Time) for Monkton Primary School to support teachers and help with classroom tasks. The role involves assisting with learning activities, preparing teaching materials, and helping pupils, including those with additional support needs. A PVG Scheme membership and SSSC registration within 6 months are required.

Interviews are scheduled for 12/11/2026. Grade 4, frontline worker.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
