Job summary

South Ayrshire Council is seeking an experienced early years practitioner to join the team under the direction of the Head Teacher. You will contribute to planning, delivering and assessing a flexible, high-quality education and care service for young people and families.

The post requires PVG scheme membership. The role is temporary until 30 June 2027 and the salary ranges from £11,664 to £13,084, with the level 8 grade.

Qualifications

  • PVG Scheme membership is required or updated before offer.
  • Temporary post until 30/06/2027 with Level 8 salary grade.
  • Candidates working towards degree will be placed at Level 7 until degree achieved.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Head Teacher to work as an effective member of early years team contributing to planning, delivering, and assessing a flexible high-quality education and care service which meets the needs of young people and their families.
