Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Liverpool for long-term collections and deliveries with a leading parcel distribution client.

You will hold a UK Driving Licence with Class 1 entitlement, DCPC card and Digi-tacho; up to 6 points considered. Overtime after 40 hours, with weekly pay and a £150 sign-up bonus after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• UK Driving Licence with Class 1 entitlement.
• DCPC card and Digi-tacho card required.
• Up to 6 points on licence considered, but no DD/TT/DR/CD/IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 vehicle for collections and deliveries.
• Perform manual handling during loading/unloading.
• Use hand held scanners to confirm deliveries.
• Complete route paperwork and pre/post route checks.

Pay Rate: £18.33 to £27.50 p/h (O/T after 40 hours)

Bonus: £150 sign up bonus (payable after 12 weeks)

Shifts: Monday to Friday - start time 09:00

Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 1 Vehicle
• Collections + Deliveries
• Manual handling required (loading and unloading)
• Delivery confirmations using hand held scanners + devices
• Standard route paperwork
• Pre & post route vehicle checks

About you:

You will have your UK Driving Licence with the providion to drive a Class 1 vehicle and at least 12 months experience in commercial driving. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
