NW Recruitment Services Ltd are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy Leyland operation. The role involves Monday to Friday shifts, typically 2:00pm–10:00pm with flexibility, and working as part of a two-person team.

You will perform local, short-distance driving between Leyland and Manchester sites to move stock and materials. Responsibilities include safe operation of the vehicle, loading/unloading assistance, daily checks, and ensuring loads are secure.

Job description

Pay: £16.50 per hour PAYE + holiday pay accrual on all hours worked

Contract: Temporary ongoing, expected up to Christmas 2026

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy operation based in Leyland.

Working as part of a two-person team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of stock, materials and finished products between company-owned sites.

The role is predominantly local, short-distance driving, with journeys typically covering around 5 - 10 miles between sites, including regular travel between Leyland and Manchester sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday afternoon/evening hours.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely and professionally operate a Class 2 HGV between company-owned sites.
• Transport stock, materials and finished products between locations.
• Undertake predominantly local deliveries and collections, including Manchester.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
• Manoeuvre the vehicle safely around sites, yards and related areas.
• Comply with all relevant driving legislation, company procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional standard when travelling between company sites.
• Work effectively as part of a two-person team.
• Assist with general loading, unloading and site duties where required.
• Maintain excellent standards of reliability, punctuality and attendance throughout the assignment.

£16.50 per hour PAYE (depending on experience)

Holiday pay accrued on all hours worked
