Job summary

People Solutions is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client’s growing transport operation in Normanton and the surrounding areas. This role offers stability, training, and progression opportunities with an immediate start option.

The position supports shift patterns in a 24-hour operation, with flexible day and night work. Excellent hourly rates and ongoing training are provided, along with weekly pay and staff parking facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C Licence.
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• DBS Check required.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Understanding of road safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations.
• Complete cage deliveries to NHS sites.
• Complete loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff.

HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Normantonand the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driveror Truck Driver.

Shift Pattern: 24-hour operation - various shifts available - You will need to be flexible to work both Days and Nights

Pay Rate: £16.90 - £27.79 per hour

Days Monday - Friday = £16.90, OT over 42 hours = £24.90

Nights Sunday - Thursday = £19.79, OT after 42 hours = £27.79

Day-to-Day Duties

• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations
• Complete cage deliveries to NHS sites
• Complete loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Understanding of road safety and compliance
• Must undergo a DBS Check

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience handling large or bulky goods
• Good customer interaction and service skills

Training

• Full paid Induction prior to first shift
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
