Job summary

Driver Hire Blackburn is seeking a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver for general haulage deliveries with daytime starts around 7:30am. You will handle up to five drops per day, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and courteous customer service at each delivery point.

Applicants should hold a Class 2 (Category C) licence with minimal penalty points, and be capable of working independently while following all company procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.

Class 2 HGV Driver | General Haulage | Approx. 7:30am Starts | Up to 5 Drops

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our customer's busy operation, carrying out general haulage deliveries.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable Class 2 driver looking for regular daytime work, with start times typically around 7:30am and up to approximately 5 deliveries/drops per day.

The Role

• Driving a Class 2 HGV vehicle on general haulage work
• Start times usually around 7:30am
• Completing approximately up to 5 drops per day
• Carrying out deliveries safely and professionally
• Loading/unloading and securing loads where required
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept in a safe, roadworthy condition
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
• Following all relevant road transport and company procedures

About You

We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Driver who is comfortable carrying out general haulage deliveries and dealing with customers.

You will need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Good knowledge of UK roads
• A professional attitude and good work ethic
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries

Driving Licence Requirements
