Job summary

Nuffield Health Hemel Hempstead gym is seeking a Lifeguard to help keep members safe and happy across the pool, spa, sauna and steam room. This is a bank/adhoc role paid at £13.10 per hour with no guaranteed hours and a requirement to hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.

You’ll be a team player with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You’ll welcome members, maintain safety and follow Pool Safety Guidelines while delivering excellent customer care.

• Provides ongoing training records.

Responsibilities

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using the pool, spa, sauna and steam room.
• Be attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities.
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away.
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard, you will:
