Job summary

Nuffield Health in Rugby is seeking a Lifeguard (Bank) to join our fitness team. You’ll help keep members safe in the pool, spa, sauna and steam room, delivering excellent customer care in a welcoming, professional environment.

This bank role means you work on an ad hoc basis to fit the business needs and your availability. You’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and can provide ongoing training records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong customer care and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Help members stay safe and healthy in the pool and wet-side facilities.
• Be attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities.
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to incidents promptly.
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room

• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away

• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
