Job summary
ISS Facilities Services is hiring a Receptionist / Security Officer to safeguard an on-site location in Gloucester. You will welcome visitors, monitor access, and support security operations while delivering excellent customer service.
Role requires SIA front-line licensing, attention to detail, and the ability to work with colleagues to maintain a safe, compliant environment. Training and progression opportunities are available.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Valid front-line security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA licence is required.
- Knowledge of security systems and related tech is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the site and everyone on it.
- Identify suspicious activities and prevent unauthorised access.
- Maintain awareness of daily site activity and events.
- Build a positive, professional relationship with customers and colleagues.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and report breaches.
- Work well in a team or independently as needed.

As a Receptionist / Security Officer with ISS, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment, protecting your colleagues and our customer's property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations.
Always ensure the safety of the site and everyone on it
Stay vigilant and identify any suspicious activities
Prevent any unauthorised access
Keep up to date with all the activity on site and have full knowledge of daily events
Create a positive, professional relationship with customers and colleagues
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and ensure any breaches are reported
Work as part of a team and on your own depending on site requirements
Previous experience in a similar role
A valid front-line security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA licence
Knowledge and experience with security systems and other related tech
Great attention to detail and a consistent approach
A team player with good customer service skills
New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
