Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy dealership workshop in Woolwich. The role covers servicing, maintenance and diagnostics with progression opportunities into senior technician and workshop management paths.

Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have at least 2 years' workshop experience, and hold a Full UK Driving Licence for 12 months. Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
• Replace components and complete authorised repairs efficiently.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
• Road test vehicles following repairs where required.
• Maintain accurate workshop documentation and work towards productivity targets.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician to join a large, fast-paced dealership workshop in Woolwich. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have at least 2 years' relevant workshop experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence for at least 12 months and have the right to work in the UK.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am–12:30pm, paid as overtime

• Strong servicing, repair and diagnostic capability
• Comfortable working within a busy, target-driven workshop
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 12 months – essential
• Right to work in the UK

The bonus scheme provides particularly strong earning potential for productive Technicians, with typical total earnings of £50,000–£60,000 and the opportunity to earn more for consistently high performance.
