  • Relevant industry qualifications and occupational experience in one or more construction trades (Plumbing & Heating, Bricklaying, Plastering, Joinery, Multi-Skills, Electrical Installation).
  • Experience teaching, assessing, or training within Further Education or workplace learning environments.

The Role

As a Construction Lecturer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching across construction programmes.
  • Planning and preparing engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
  • Assessing learner work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
  • Monitoring learner progress and implementing strategies to improve achievement.
  • Promoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the construction curriculum.
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and meeting awarding body requirements.
  • Preparing learners for employment and progression within the construction industry.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:
