Morgan Jones invites applications for a Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery at our client in Belvedere. The role focuses on delivering engaging FE teaching and assessment across carpentry programmes, supporting learners to reach their potential.

This is a temporary, full‑time opportunity with 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will bring industry experience, a teaching mindset, and commitment to high‑quality learning outcomes in a well‑established education environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery (NVQ).
• Minimum 5 years' verifiable industry experience.
• Teaching or training experience within Further Education or a training environment.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA) or willingness to achieve.
• Current ENHANCED DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality Carpentry & Joinery teaching and assessment.
• Plan, prepare and develop learning materials and schemes of work.
• Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement.
• Provide tutorials, guidance and pastoral support to learners.
• Support course promotion, recruitment activities and open events.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Undertake assessment and internal verification activities.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain health and safety standards.
• Embed English, Maths and digital learning into teaching activities.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employers and stakeholders.
