Job summary

Active8 Minds in Portsmouth is seeking a passionate Playworker to deliver arts and crafts after school, 15:00–18:00. You will support play, create a safe, welcoming space, and help children feel confident and happy.

The role requires experience with children, strong communication, and a caring, calm approach. You will work with staff and parents, prepare resources, and follow safeguarding procedures.

Successful applicants will have enhanced DBS, paid for by Active8 Minds.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools or childcare.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, caring, calm approach.
• Confidence supporting children and encouraging creative play.
• Relevant childcare/playwork qualifications (or willingness to complete training).

Active8 Minds is looking for an enthusiastic Playworker (arts & crafts facilitator) to join our friendly team and help children learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, exciting environment. Delivering Arts & Crafts at the After‑School Club (15:00 - 18:00 PM, must be available for these hours)
