Job summary

Active8 Minds is seeking a passionate Playworker to join our team and support children through engaging arts and crafts activities after school. You will help deliver safe, inclusive play in a welcoming setting at Langrish Primary School, with sessions from 15:00 to 18:00. DBS check will be arranged for successful candidates.

The role requires experience with children, strong communication, and a calm, positive approach to support creative play and strong relationships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools or childcare.
• Relevant childcare/playwork qualifications (or willingness to complete training).

Responsibilities

• Support play sessions and deliver inclusive activities.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment for children.
• Prepare resources and keep sessions well-organised.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Report safeguarding concerns according to policy.
• Help ensure every child leaves with a smile and memories.
