Job summary

Mauldeth Road Primary School is seeking a caring Play Worker to join our Wrap Around Care team and help deliver a safe, welcoming After School Club for primary-aged children. You will supervise and support play and creative activities, assist with snacks and routines, promote positive behaviour and help create a calm, inclusive club environment.

This permanent, term-time-only role offers 12.5 hours per week and starts 2 November 2026.

Qualifications Required: Paediatric, first aid food hygiene, safeguarding or leadership training would be desirable.


Start Date: 2nd November 2026


Salary: £12.71 per hour


Mauldeth Road Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Play Worker to join our Wrap Around Care team and support the delivery of a safe, welcoming and enjoyable After School Club for children across the primary age range.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, understands the importance of play, and can help create a positive end-of-day experience for pupils and families.


The successful candidate will help supervise children, support play and creative activities, assist with snacks and routines, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to a calm, inclusive and well‑organised club environment.


They will work closely with colleagues to ensure children are safe, happy and engaged while attending wrap around care.
