Job summary

Active8 Minds is seeking a Playworker to support after‑school arts & crafts activities at Langrish Primary School. You will help children learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, exciting environment after school hours.

The role requires experience with children, strong communication, and a caring, proactive approach to fostering creative play. DBS checks are required and will be paid for by Active8 Minds.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools or childcare.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, caring, calm approach.
• Confidence supporting children and encouraging creative play.

Responsibilities

• Support play sessions and help deliver inclusive, engaging activities.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment where children feel happy and confident.
• Prepare resources and ensure sessions are well-organised.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
• Help ensure every child leaves with a smile and great memories.
