Job summary

Crickhowell High School is seeking an experienced Senior IT Technician to support the IT Facilities Manager in maintaining hardware, software, and networks on-site. You will help manage devices including PCs, laptops, iPads, printers, projectors and interactive whiteboards, supporting around 950 students and 100 staff.

The role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines in a busy school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT in a school or educational setting.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior IT Technician at Crickhowell High School. We work very hard to identify and support the individual learning needs of all our students and believe that no student should leave Crickhowell High School without a range of good qualifications. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Senior IT Technician with strong technical abilities and experience. This is a pivotal role within our school community with responsibility for IT systems. The person appointed will be able to support the IT Facilities Manager to maintain the current system with PCs, laptops and iPads together with a wide range of peripherals including printers, projectors and interactive whiteboards, all of which are critical to the delivery of the curriculum and the school’s administrative functions. As well as a range of hardware and software, further challenges are presented by the need to support approximately 950 student users together with around 100 staff users who can access the network on the school site and remotely.
