Job summary

Attenborough Surgery is seeking part-time Medical Receptionists to join our busy practice across multiple sites in Bushey. The role focuses on telephone work (approximately 95% of duties) with light admin related to calls.

Ideal candidates will have call centre experience and be able to work fixed shifts. General Practice Reception experience is an advantage, and training will be provided prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Call centre experience is advantageous.
• Commitment to a full two-week training programme will be required.

Attenborough Surgery is a very busy, forward thinking 5 partner, 19 salaried GP practice. We have a practice list size approximately 33,000 patients and are based over 4 surgery sites. We are a single practice Primary Care Network and a well-established training practice, respected for its collaborative working, training, teaching, and personal development within its team.

We are seeking part time Medical Receptionists to join our team at the surgery, due to our continued increase in volume of calls and new patient registrations. This role involves 95% phone work, and a small amount of admin related to the calls taken.

Shifts currently available at our Holywell Branch, Carpenders Park Branch & Bushey Medical Centre, hours to be discussed at interview. Part time hours available.

The desirable candidate would have:

• Call Centre experience
• Able to work set shifts and days according to Surgery requirements
• A positive can-do attitude together with good team working.
• A background in General Practice Reception would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Experience with EMIS would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Commitment to a full 2-week training programme will be required on acceptance of this role.
