Firdale Medical Centre in Northwich is seeking a part-time medical receptionist to join the Clinical Support team, covering maternity leave. You will handle inbound enquiries, assist with outbound calls and liaise with patients.
Experience of GP practice preferred, training provided. You should be flexible for additional hours; knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare experience is desirable but not essential; strong customer service, IT skills and good telephone manner are valued.

As part of the Clinical Support team you will be involved in assisting the clinical staff dealing with both inbound enquiries from patients, as well as assisting outbound calls and liaising with patients.
We need a motivated person who likes to be a part of the team but is also able to work independently on their own initiative. You should be flexible as additional hours may be required by mutual agreement to cover colleagues holidays and other absence. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience of working in healthcare is desired but not essential as full training will be provided. It would be beneficial if you had previous reception or administration experience, strong customer service skills, experience of using IT systems, good telephone manner and good level of resilience.

Firdale Medical Centre is a member of Northwich Primary Care Network. We currently look after over 11500 patients as well as mentor and support one of the local nursing homes.
The practice is led by four GP partners, and we employ five salaried doctors. To complete the clinical team we have two nurses, health care assistant, a pharmacist, pharmacy technician and two Musculo-skeletal (MSK) specialists.
We are also teaching practice supporting foundation and specialty doctors.
