Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle preparation work on used vehicles to high standards.
• Conduct MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Carry out routine servicing, including oil and filter changes.
• Replace consumable items such as oil filters and other service parts.
• Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional work needed.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards.
• Maintain accurate workshop documentation and job records.
• Keep the workshop area clean, safe, and organised.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main dealership in Burton upon Trent, for the position of Prep Technician / MOT Tester. The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle preparation and MOT testing, with ongoing manufacturer training and competitive earning potential.

Benefits for the successful MOT Tester:

• - Starting salary of £30,000 per annum
• - Productivity bonus of up to £3,000 annually
• - OTE £35,000+ including bonus and overtime
• - Overtime paid at time and a half
• - Working hours of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• - 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (8:00am – 12:00pm) paid at overtime rates
