Job summary

The Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking someone to support a daughter with learning disabilities in developing independence and socialising. The role focuses on enabling participation in sports and leisure activities, building friendships, and a trusting one-to-one relationship.

Duties include reporting accidents, DBS clearance, and flexible Tuesday/Thursday shifts; tasks may vary day-to-day to meet needs.

About the Employer

Looking to recruit someone to support our daughter who has a learning diasibility and can be shy around new people and wants to make friends. We would like you to assist in developing her independence and having a break from mum and dad. Her hobbies are swimming, going to the gym, axe throwing, making bracelets and loves guinea pigs. We are ideally looking for someone to support Tuesdays and Thursday and the timings on those days can be flexible.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
