Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a part-time support role in the community to assist an adult male with activities such as gym visits, walks and outings. You will help with social participation and provide gentle reminders, ensuring safety around allergies and pets in the home.

The role focuses on building a trusted one-to-one relationship, encouraging engagement in leisure and social activities while providing practical support and companionship.

About the Employer

To support an adult male with activities in the community such as accessing the gym, going for a walk, looking in shops, possible visits to museums and showing an interest in his games on the wii and programmes/films that he really like suh as Dr Who, Spiderman and Power Rangers.

The gentleman does have a nut allergy and for this he has an epi pen which would only be used should an allergic reaction arise. Minimal support with personal care or eating would be needed more so, just guiding him with reminders.

The 5 hours would ideally be on a Thursday afternoon after 3pm (2 hours) then either a Friday or Sunday anytime for 3 hours.

Other relevant information:

• The individual has allergies. Nut allergy and has epi pen, any contact with nuts to be avoided.
• The individual keeps pets in the home: A medium dog and a cat.
