Location – Llanon (Work to be undertaken at this location)

Hours of work - 6 hours per week, worked flexibly to meet the employer's needs and agreed in advance.

Rate of Pay: £15 per hour, plus mileage allowance for work-related travel, paid privately.

Introduction

We are looking for a Personal assistant who can provide good company for a few hours a week and help turn ordinary days into enjoyable ones. Supporting a lady with mild learning disabilities both at home and out in the community, helping relieve her socially isolation

The main role is to help her maintain her independence, including managing correspondence, supporting her tenancy, encouraging hobbies and interests, but most importantly its providing companionship, it's about helping her enjoy life, build confidence, and have a bit of fun along the way.

She enjoys days out, coffee trips, shopping, the cinema, shows, and sometimes simply having a wander and seeing where the day takes her. It is important that she feels listened to and involved in decisions about her support.

Hours will be worked flexibly and may occasionally include weekends.

This post is funded through the Direct Payments Scheme and is intended to enable the employer to manage her support independently. Applicants must have their own transport and hold a full, clean driving licence.
