Penderels Trust in the North East area is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to support a young adult with a disability on Saturdays or Sundays. You will help access leisure activities, encourage socialisation and independence, and build a trusting one-to-one relationship in the home and community.
The role requires a DBS disclosure (costs covered) and a driver with business insurance. 4 hours per week, essential reliability and confidentiality.

I am mum to a young adult who has a severe learning disability and who functions at the level of a 9 to 10-year-old child. My son has global developmental delay, which was diagnosed at a young age, and he experiences double incontinence. He also has epilepsy and can become overwhelmed, which leads to distressed. I am looking for a kind, caring PA to take him outdoors to enjoy leisure activities on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
Specific days/times required: 4 Hours per week
