Job summary

Citytalk is seeking an apprentice for a 1st Line Technical Support Analyst role based in the office in the UK. You will provide first-line IT support to staff via phone, email and in person, troubleshoot hardware and software, and set up new computers and user accounts as part of an apprenticeship.

The role involves working Monday to Friday in an office setting, with the Information Communications Technician apprenticeship pathway and regular trainer sessions to support your learning and career

Qualifications

  • Apprentice will complete a Level 3 ICT apprenticeship standard.
  • Be 16 or over and not in full-time education.
  • Learn and train for a specific job while gaining paid work experience.
  • You will get paid and receive holiday leave.
  • Study for 6 hours of your working hours.

Responsibilities

This 1st Line Technical Support Analyst will play a valuable role within the business by providing technical support to a large customer base via Phone and Email. In addition to supporting our customers, the support team is actively involved in the selection, evaluation and technical ownership of cutting edge new products & technology.

  • Providing first-line IT support to staff via phone, email, and in person

As an Apprentice you will be completing a Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship Standard

The Information Communications Technician makes their contribution through the application of infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.

An Information Communications Technician (ICT) provides support to internal and/or external customers, by using tools or systems to problem solve and trouble-shoot routine and non-routine problems. This occupation supports clients/customers with their systems. They achieve this through monitoring and maintaining the systems and/or platforms to maximise productivity and user experience.

There are 3 pathways within this Apprenticeship which include:

A Digital Communications Technician

You can start an apprenticeship whether you're starting your career, want a change or you're upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.

To become an apprentice, you must:
  • be 16 or over
  • not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you'll:
  • complete a Level 3 ICT apprenticeship standard
  • have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
  • learn and train for a specific job
  • get paid and receive holiday leave
  • get hands-on experience in a real job
  • study for 6 hours of your working hours
  • complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
  • be on a career path with lots of future potential
