Job summary

Inspiro Learning is seeking an Apprentice IT Technician to learn and develop skills in ICT support, hardware maintenance, and on-site service across our client environments.

You will be guided by a dedicated trainer, gain hands-on experience, and be paid with holiday leave as part of the apprenticeship. The programme includes six hours of structured study during working hours and regular assessments.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Windows OS and networking concepts.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ICT support requests per Help Desk procedures and priorities.
• Support maintenance of IT hardware and services.
• Work within SLAs for tickets assigned by the Helpdesk.
• Assist in installation or repair of Windows computers with standardised applications and networking software.
• Visit customers and clients to support them with on premises IT issues.
• Maintain excellent written logs of works conducted.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice IT Technician. During the apprenticeship you will learn and develop the skills to be able to:

• Respond to requests for ICT support in accordance with Help Desk procedures and priorities.
• Support maintains all IT Hardware and services.
• Ability to work within SLA’s set for tickets assigned by the Helpdesk.
• Assist in the installation or repair of Windows computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems that develop in their operations.
• Assist in a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, primarily in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations (desktop computers, IWB's, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, pa equipment, AV lecterns and hardware, digital signage).
• Assist in the monitoring of the performance of hardware and software with a view to pursuing particular or recurring problems.
• Assist in the monitoring of the use of software and ensuring that all software is licensed and supported sufficiently.
• Assist in the evaluation of the performance of various items of equipment, determine their suitability for specific applications and prepare reports as required.
• Assist in the asset tagging of hardware and updating of the asset register.
• Assist in general duties such as moving equipment and clearing work spaces.
• Visit customers and clients and support them with on premises IT issues.
• Speak to customers and By telephone to support them to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain excellent written logs of works conducted.
• Support the 2 Deliver high quality IT services showcasing excellent customer journey.
