Job summary

Orbis Education and Care Ltd is seeking a female Support Worker for Llun Y Mynydd, a tranquil residence near Abergavenny, Wales. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with autism, helping with daily living, activities and social participation.

The role is full-time, 45.5 hours weekly (days) and 30 hours nights, with a salary £13.45–£13.75 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience. Enhanced DBS required and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

  • Clear demonstration of caring nature and ability to support individuals with autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges and adapting to needs.
  • Willingness to learn and follow team guidance.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
  • Full UK driving licence required for transport to appointments.

About Llyn y Mynydd: Join our team at Llun Y Mynydd, a tranquil residence nestled in the serene rural surroundings of Llanfoist, near Abergavenny. Our individuals can also enjoy relaxing walks along the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, Shopping, bowling, local walks, arts and crafts are just some of the activities our individuals take part in.

  • No experience needed — just passion, patience, and commitment!

Right to Work Requirement: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and, where applicable, hold a visa with at least 18 months remaining at the time of application. We cannot accept applications from Student Visa holders or candidates requiring sponsorship or sponsorship transfers. Successful candidates with a time-limited right to work will be employed on a fixed-term contract ending on their visa expiry date.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
