Job summary

Orbis Education and Care seeks a female Support Worker to provide compassionate care at Llun Y Mynydd near Abergavenny, supporting individuals with autism in daily activities and personal care.

You will work with a team to implement personalised care plans, promote independence, and accompany individuals on activities and outings in a rural setting.

Qualifications

  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • A full UK driving licence – essential for supporting our individuals with transport to appointments and activities. (Manual Licence holders only)
  • The right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining on your visa
  • No experience needed — just passion, patience, and commitment!

  • Encouraging and assisting individuals in participating in activities, hobbies, and social interactions.
  • Supporting individuals with daily living tasks and personal care, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalised care plans.
  • Ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all individuals.

Job description

Salary - £13.45 to £13.75 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience

Please note this role is designated for female applicants only in accordance the specific need of the individuals being supported and therefore exempt from the Equality act 2010.

Full Time- 45.5 hours per week days l 30 hours per week nights

About Llyn y Mynydd: Join our team at Llun Y Mynydd, a tranquil residence nestled in the serene rural surroundings of Llanfoist, near Abergavenny. Our individuals can also enjoy relaxing walks along the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, Shopping, bowling, local walks, arts and crafts are just some of the activities our individuals take part in.
