Job summary

Orbis Education & Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join Cartref Mynydd in Swansea, supporting adults with autism and complex needs to live safe, fulfilling lives. You will help lead the home with the Home Manager, creating a warm, inclusive and empowering environment where people feel valued and supported.

About The Role

Senior Support Worker – Cartref Mynydd

Salary: £14.20 per hour / £29,720.60 per annum + £1,500 annual allocation allowance

Hours: 40.25 hours per week

We’re looking for an inspiring Senior Support Worker to support the Home Manager in leading this home, creating a warm, inclusive, and empowering environment where people feel valued, respected, and supported.

We are looking for someone passionate about helping individuals lead fulfilling, independent lives and committed to making a daily difference. Our holistic, person-centred environment focuses on strengthening interests and aspirations.

A day in the life

• Leading the team whilst on shift.
• Assist in ensuring service scoring standards are maintained.
• Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities.
• Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in assessment, development and review of support and care plans.
• Promote and celebrate homes achievements.

To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need:

• Experience in a positive support environment.
• QCF level 3 qualified, or working towards.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations.
• Lead by example and always act as a positive role model.
• Upload company policies and standards.
• Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding.
• Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
