Job summary

Biffa Group in Aylesbury is seeking a Logistics Planner to support the day-to-day operations of the Reactive Services logistics team. You will allocate vehicles to routes, ensure service delivery, and uphold health & safety standards.

The role requires coordinating driver availability, maintaining compliance, and continuous improvement in productivity and quality of service. You will work Monday to Friday with shifts including 8:00-17:00 or 9:00-18:00, and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in Services or Logistics industry.
• Health & Safety conscious.
• Good geographical knowledge (e.g. postcode areas).
• Good transport / logistics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and manage daily routes to deliver top-class service.
• Maximise route efficiency and disposal use across the area.
• Debrief drivers daily to spot and resolve issues fast.
• Manage driver availability, compliance, and coverage.
• Assign jobs to the right vehicle types safely and legally.
• Oversee daily vehicle checks and availability.
