Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a dedicated care assistant to provide 24-hour support to customers with varying needs, including daily living assistance and personal care. You will work closely with the care team to follow care plans and document observations, contributing to residents’ independence and wellbeing.

A positive, caring attitude and empathy are essential. Experience with support plans and local community knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care.
• Positive, caring can-do attitude and empathy to make a difference to customers’ lives.
• Experience of working with support plans, recording and using information concisely and effectively.
• Knowledge of local community and networks would be brilliant.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour support to customers.
• Follow support plans and report concerns with the care team.
• Assist customers with everyday living activities.
• Time for check-ins and conversations with customers without rushing between them.

Education

Level 2 or above in social care

Willingness to work towards Level 2 social care

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our kind and caring team. We support our customers with range of support needs which may include frailty and dementia, we help them regain or maintain their independence and live well in their own homes. Some of our customers have more complex support needs and may require personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting dressed.

What youll do

• We provide 24-hour support to our customers
• Working closely with the care team to follow support plans and reporting any concerns.
• Supporting our customers with everyday daily living activities
• Youll have plenty of time for cuppas, chats and catch ups, theres no rushing from one customer to the next here!

Requirements

Level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care or being willing to work towards this

• If youve worked in a CQC care setting previously, that would be great!
• Have a positive, caring can-do attitude, and empathy to really make a difference to our customers lives.
• Previous experience of working with support plans, recording and using information concisely and effectively.
• Knowledge of local community and networks would be brilliant.

The practical bits

• Day shifts working across a 2 week rolling rota (11.5 hour shifts)
• Week 1: Mon/Tue/Sat/Sun - Week 2: Wed/Thu/Fri
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans.
• Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
