Job summary

Home Group in Leeds is recruiting caring individuals to join our supported living team. You will assist customers with personal care, daily living tasks and medication support in their own homes, helping them stay independent and live well.

You’ll work with a friendly care team, follow tailored support plans, and record information accurately. A Level 2 in social care or willingness to train is expected, with DBS check paid by us.

Qualifications

• Level 2 (or above) in social care or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience in a CQC care setting is advantageous.
• Positive, caring attitude with empathy to make a difference.
• Experience with support plans and concise information recording.
• Knowledge of local community networks is beneficial.

We support our customers with range of support needs which may include frailty and dementia, we help them regain or maintain their independence and ‘live well’ in their own homes. Some of our customers have more complex support needs and may require personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting dressed.

What You’ll Do

• We provide 24-hour support to our customers including moving and handling, personal care and medication support
• Supporting individuals over the age of 55 with various care and support needs including dementia and physical health conditions
• Working closely with the care team to follow support plans and reporting any concerns.
• Supporting our customers with everyday daily living activities

You have

• A level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care or being willing to work towards this
• If you’ve worked in a CQC care setting previously, that would be great!
• Have a positive, caring can-do attitude, and empathy to really make a difference to our customers lives.
• Previous experience of working with support plans, recording and using information concisely and effectively.
• Knowledge of local community and networks would be brilliant.

The practical bits

• Full time, 37.5 hours per week
• Rota working between 7am and 10pm including weekends and bank holidays
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
