Job summary

Education Personnel are delighted to be partnering with a progressive Derby secondary school to recruit a dedicated RE Teacher for immediate start or January 2027. This role supports KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching for experienced candidates, contributing to a thriving RE department.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, bring at least 6 months of RE classroom experience in a UK secondary setting, and demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills within a collaborative

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver KS3 & KS4 RE curriculum with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Derby
• Plan, prepare, and assess Religious Studies and Ethics lessons
• Monitor student progress and facilitate respectful classroom debate
• Contribute to RE department improvement planning and SMSC development
• Attend staff meetings, CPD and parents' evenings as required

Location: Derby

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Start Date: Immediate / January 2027

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Qualification: QTS required

Experience: Minimum 6 months' teaching experience in a UK secondary school
