Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Glasgow is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to support delivery, development and modernization of Rail Infrastructure training. You will design and deliver technical training, update course material including e-learning, collaborate with internal teams and customers to tailor learning solutions, and assist senior trainers with bids, while championing safety and quality.

Applicants should have an HNC in STEM or equivalent, knowledge of railway systems, and strong

Qualifications

  • HNC in a STEM discipline or equivalent industrial/engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of railway or engineering systems, networks and interfaces.
  • Experience in developing technical training materials, strategies and teaching/mentoring others.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and in virtual teams.
  • Desirable: experience in railway signalling systems, signalling control systems, cybersecurity, telecoms, networks, or distributed control networks.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing and delivering technical training for Siemens Rail Infrastructure and other areas within Siemens Mobility.
  • Creating and updating course material, including e-learning content, to align with new technologies and customer needs.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external customers to identify training requirements and deliver tailored learning solutions.
  • Supporting the senior trainers with the development of responses to project bids.
  • Championing safety, quality and continuous improvement across all aspects of training delivery and development.
