Hitachi Rail Limited in London is seeking a Design Engineer to support telecoms and network solutions for London Underground projects. You will design buildable, compliant solutions and work with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.

The role focuses on IP/MPLS, DWDM, and multi-service networks, with responsibilities across design production, estimates, programs and work packages, while adhering to CDM regulations and project delivery processes.

Formación

• Experience with IP/MPLS and DWDM in telecoms environments.
• Knowledge of Nokia NSP and SDN concepts.
• Understanding of project delivery processes and CDM regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into designs.
• Design solutions using industry best practices, processes and tools.
• Produce buildable, maintainable designs meeting customer requirements and standards.
• Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
• Work with engineering disciplines to ensure delivery success.
• Follow project delivery processes and use defined tools.
• Escalate issues to the Senior Design Engineer when needed.
• Provide status reports to the Senior Design Engineer.
