Job summary

WSP is seeking a systems engineering and integration professional to join our UK rail team. You will support project teams on major infrastructure programmes, lead tasks and potentially small projects, and mentor early career professionals.

You will apply MBSE and DOORS tools, shape project approaches, and work in a collaborative consultancy environment that values initiative, risk management and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered status with a professional body or near-term Chartered status achievable.
• Post degree experience delivering systems integration in rail environments.
• Experience using DOORS and MBSE techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to solve complex integration problems for clients on major infrastructure programmes.
• Lead tasks within a project environment and mentor others on larger projects or manage small projects.
• Demonstrate willingness to challenge clients and colleagues and mentor Early Career Professionals.
• Apply pragmatic systems thinking to define projects and reduce risk as part of a team on big systems engineering projects.
• Support interval team development activities focused on business and/or technical development.
• Gain commercial responsibility and awareness of the wider business in a consultancy environment.
• Proactively seeking knowledge and developing capability through internal/external sources to determine right approaches.
• Maintain up-to-date CPD records and build a professional network.
