Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a Rail Systems Engineer to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase, working within a Rail Systems Alliance. The role focuses on risk and assumption management, design integration, and cross-functional collaboration to meet cost and schedule goals.

You will be part of a Joint Venture with Ferrovial BAM, contributing to major UK rail projects from London to Birmingham, with a focus on delivering safe, efficient rail systems for HS2.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) is required or highly desirable.
• Experience in a railway environment preferred.
• Enthusiastic and proactive team player with ability to listen, understand and engage.
• Working towards Chartered IMEC, PWA Institute or CEng ICE desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administers the Technical Risk and Assumptions Management processes under guidance, organizing reviews and producing reports.
• Ensures designers complete registers before each review session and review stages.
• Coordinates and communicates across the Rail Systems Design Integration Lead’s scope.
• Produces monthly reports outlining key metrics and progress.
