Job summary

FERROVIAL CONSTRUCTION (UK) LIMITED is recruiting a Rail Systems Engineer to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project during the initial design phase. The role focuses on risk and assumption management, interfaces, and design integration.

Based in the UK, the position reports to the Technical Assurance Lead and works within the Rail Systems Alliance to deliver coordinated design, risk control, and progress reporting for cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Working towards Chartered IMEC, PWA Institute or CEng ICE desirable.
• Experience in a railway environment preferred.
• Enthusiastic and proactive team player, able to listen, understand, engage.

Responsibilities

• Administers technical risk and assumption management processes and coordinates review meetings.
• Ensures registers are completed accurately and reviewed before JV sessions.
• Produces monthly reports with key metrics and progress.
