Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Health and Safety, CDM Specialist to join our Railway Engineering Services. You will provide safety leadership, SHEQ, and CDM guidance across complex infrastructure programs for clients including High Speed 2, Network Rail, TfL and local authorities.

The role emphasizes developing and implementing SHEQ and CDM systems, leading audits, and managing project risk while supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• Certified safety professional with CMaPS or MIIRSM membership.
• NEBOSH certification required.
• Experience auditing OSHAS 18001 / ISO 45001.
• Proven leadership on rail and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and CDM guidance for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support SHEQ systems development and implementation.
• Lead audits in line with ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Manage project and commercial risk balancing client and staff needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and staff development initiatives.
