Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Health and Safety, CDM Specialist to support our rail and infrastructure projects. You will provide safety leadership, CDM guidance and SHEQ systems across multidisciplinary teams on high-profile programs for government and private sector clients.

You will lead audits, drive compliance with ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, and contribute to risk management, stakeholder engagement, and procurement activities in a UK context.

Qualifications

• CMaPS or MIIRSM membership.
• NEBOSH certification required.
• Good knowledge of auditing OSHAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and related standards.
• Proven health and safety leadership across rail, transport and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with UK design, delivery and procurement of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong stakeholder and team management skills; understanding of CDM.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and CDM guidance across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop and implement SHEQ and CDM management systems and contract strategies.
• Balance project and commercial risk with client and staff needs.
• Lead audits in line with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 as required.
• Support wider business operations including governance and safety compliance.
