Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Health and Safety, CDM Specialist to join our Railway Engineering Services. You will provide safety leadership, SHEQ and CDM guidance across major rail and infrastructure projects in the UK, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

You will lead audits, support contract strategies, and manage safety risk across multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to safer delivery across the design and construction life cycle.

Qualifications

• CMaPS or MIIRSM membership.
• NEBOSH certification.
• Knowledge of auditing OSHAS 18001 / ISO 45001 and related standards.
• Proven health & safety leadership across rail, transport and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in UK design, delivery and procurement with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership, SHEQ and CDM guidance to multi-disciplinary teams across major infrastructure projects.
• Develop, implement and promote SHEQ/CDM management systems and contract strategies.
• Lead audits in line with ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS 18001 where required.
• Maintain strong knowledge of H&S legislation, CDM requirements and Safe by Design principles.
