Arriva UK Trains Limited is seeking a Rail Replacement Coordinator to manage rail replacement services from key stations in the North East England region. This role focuses on maintaining safe, timely operations and clear passenger information in dynamic conditions.

You will coordinate transport providers, monitor service performance, and respond to disruptions, ensuring a smooth passenger experience across shifts with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of planned and emergency rail replacement services
• Support drivers and ensure vehicles meet required standards
• Monitor service performance, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
• Help maintain strong connections between rail and road services
• Provide clear, helpful information to passengers
• Manage boarding to ensure passengers travel on the correct services
• Respond to disruptions such as delays, traffic, or incidents, adjusting services where needed
• Work closely with control teams to resolve operational issues
• Ensure safe and organised pick-up and drop-off areas
• Carry out passenger counts and report service data
• Record and escape incidents, providing detailed feedback post-shift
