Job summary

Arriva Road Transport Services is seeking a Rail Replacement Coordinator to manage frontline rail-to-road service operations at key station locations in North East England. The role focuses on coordinating transport providers, supporting passengers and responding to real-time changes to keep services on track.

You will work in a dynamic, frontline environment with zero-hours contracts and flexible shifts, based at stations across the region, ensuring safety, efficiency and clear passenger

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of planned and emergency rail replacement services.
• Support drivers and ensure vehicles meet required standards.
• Monitor service performance, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Help maintain strong connections between rail and road services.
• Provide clear, helpful information to passengers.
• Manage boarding to ensure passengers travel on the correct services.
• Respond to disruptions such as delays, traffic, or incidents, adjusting services where needed.
• Work closely with control teams to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure safe and organised pick-up and drop-off areas.
• Carry out passenger counts and report service data.
• Record and escalate incidents, providing detailed feedback post-shift.

About The Role
