Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a P6 Project Planner to develop, maintain and monitor integrated schedules for rail and major infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.

You will work with project managers, engineers and contractors to create WBS, milestones, and baselines, and to forecast progress, identify risks, and present recovery plans. The role offers a hybrid working policy and opportunities across our global practice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling for major capital projects (infrastructure/rail).
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6: WBS, logic, milestones, baselines.
• Understanding of lifecycle delivery, critical-path, progress measurement, forecasting, change control.
• Ability to integrate schedules across disciplines and suppliers; assess impacts of changes.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills; clear schedule communication.
• Degree or equivalent in engineering/construction/project management.
• PMQ or equivalent qualification (APM PMQ) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules in Primavera P6.
• Produce look-ahead programmes, variance analysis, forecasts and KPI dashboards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, contractors and clients.
• Support earned value management, schedule risk assessment and recovery planning.
