Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a skilled P6 Project Planner to develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules for rail and major infrastructure programs. You will work with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure programmes meet contractual and governance requirements, delivering clear progress reporting and recovery plans.

You will produce look‑ahead plans, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards, with input to schedule risk management and earned value where applicable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in project planning and scheduling on major capital projects
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 with WBS, milestones, constraints and baselines
• Strong understanding of lifecycle delivery, critical-path analysis, progress measurement and forecasting
• Ability to integrate schedules across multiple disciplines, contractors and suppliers
• APM PMQ or equivalent professional qualification or accreditation
• Experience in earned value management and schedule risk assessment

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6
• Create look‑ahead programmes, schedule variance analyses and KPI dashboards
• Forecast progress and assess schedule impact of changes and variations
• Support earned value management and schedule risk assessment
• Coordinate planning meetings and present schedule updates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and clients
